Flaminal is an enzyme Alginogel wound healing agent.
It consists of an antibacterial enzyme system embedded in hydrated alginates. It supports healing by keeping wounds clean and moist, and by providing antimicrobial protection.
The different components act together by:
Dissolving necrotic tissue and fibrin and absorbing them from the wound bed.
Absorbing of wound exudate (including debris and bacteria) without drying out the wound bed. This way granulation tissue can form and grow.
Lastly, the enzyme complex protects the wound from infections and biofilm formation.
